On October 31, 2018, STCP Engenharia de Projetos Ltda. carried out a workshop to present the results of diagnosis, systematization and monitoring of restoration experiences in the Rio Doce River Basin in Minas Gerais. The target participants were various private and public institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
The event was held at the Mines and Metal Museum in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais state, with the participation of STCP representatives Daniele Vigolo and Erlon Valdetaro, as well as speakers from The Nature Conservancy, Cenibra, Minas Gerais State Forest Institute and Agrifom .
The experiences exchanged in this workshop and information acquired during the implementation of the project will be valuable for the dissemination of knowledge. The benefits generated from the restoration project should guide the elaboration and implementation of public policies related to the effective forest restoration in the State of Minas Gerais. In addition, it will contribute to the fulfillment of the commitments made by Brazil at the international level as to natural resources recovery and conservation.
