STCP Engenharia de Projetos Ltda. is developing the study “Identification of Priority Information on Sustainable Forest Administration of Cerrado and Partnerships Strengthening for the National Forest Information System – SNIF” for the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB). The project has financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The STCP Consulting Division, under Marcelo Wiecheteck´s management, is responsible for implementing this project, coordinated by Mônica Breda.
The overall objective is to support SFB in the creation of a module for the Cerrado biome to be included in the SNIF system. The new module offers information about the Brazilian Cerrado biome, for different users, aiming at sustainable management of the biome.
The Project, including 14 products, will be finalized later October. The following activities were carried out: workshops to get contributions from the main actors, mapping priority information for the Cerrado, identification of institutions generating information, preparation of partnership agreements to be signed with these institutions, training SFB technical team in obtaining information for the SNIF Cerrado, among other activities.
